Do You Know What Time It Is?

Friday, February 19, 2010

The Mayan predictions state that in 2012 time as we know it will end. So i chose to put this documentary on my blog because i thought it would be interesting to see what it is meant by the word "Time" and how this enigma poses questions. So what does the term "end of time" mean?

Particle physicist Professor Brian Cox asks, 'What time is it?' It's a simple question which sounds like it has a simple answer, but do we really know what it is that we're asking?

In this intriguing documentary from the BBC's 'Horizon', Prof Cox visits the ancient Mayan pyramids in Mexico, where the Maya built temples to time. He discovers that a day is never 24 hours, and meets Earth's very own Director of Time. He journeys to the beginning of time, goes beyond it within the realms of string theory, and explores the very limit of time. He learns that we not only travel through time at the speed of light, but the experience we feel as the passing of time could be an illusion.

You will never see time in the same light again!

Hope you enjoyed this one - one of my favorites..

Do you think the term - 'end of time' could actually mean something totally different than just a apocalypse? Could it be a quantum shift that alters reality? Consciousness shift in humanity? Or just a change in how we perceive space time? Post a comment and lets share a few ideas..

The Doomsday Code

What is the real source of these ideas that so many people attribute to the book o Revelation? Whoever wrote it sheltered in a cave on the Greek island of Patmos, probably a refugee from Roman occupied Palestine. He is also likely to have consumed the local hallucinogenic magic mushrooms. So rather than taking these bizarre visions literally, it might make more sense to try to understand them in their historical context.

There are some 40 apocalyptic books from this era but this was the only one that made it into the Bible. If the author was writing about the hated Roman Empire, it could be that the seven heads of the beast meant the seven emperors.

The mark of the beast could be the head of the emperor on the coins. The dreaded 666 very likely represented three letters indicating the Emperor Nero – representing letters by numbers was, and is, common in Hebrew. If so, instead of being a description of a world in chaos, it could be seen as a book of morality, optimism and faith.

Let’s hope the End Timers start to see it like that before their actions really do bring about the end of the world.

Hope you enjoyed it!

Zeitgeist: Addendum

Thursday, February 18, 2010

Everyone should watch this movie. Everyone. That's the point of the movie. Share it. Everyone must know what's going on. And on the difference from the 1st one, this one doesn't try to make you think we leave in a conspiracy, this one explains you what kind of conspiracy we are all in at the moment. The money-conspiracy. And no one can tell they are wrong, because they just explain the system we live in, with simple words. And it makes it much easier for anyone to understand it. This gives anger and hate against the system but also hope and motivation. If everyone sees it, maybe we got a chance to change something.

Kymatica - The Film

The newest film from Ben Stewart, creator of the Esoteric Agenda. The questions that have remained timeless and profound throughout history have been all but left for dead. There have been messages left in scripture, archeological remains, shamanic traditions, philosophy, poetry, art and music. As we move closer to an apex of technological and intellectual information, we find ourselves farther and farther away from feeling any comfort or wholeness within our hearts and souls. Yet even though the concept of spirituality should have been long gone by now, we are seeing an awakening among people and a growing desire for truth.

For the first time in history we are finding that there are no sole saviors or lone prophets to guide us, but a whole race waking from a sleep that has brought this world to the brink of destruction. In a world where Apocalyptic catastrophes seem inevitable, we must look at the solutions in a whole new manner. As the latest quantum mechanics and metaphysics are just being discovered, we notice that we are not moving forward, but returning to a consciousness that the ancient shamans, mystics and sages have left for us.

It is a new age. An age for responsibility and stewardship. And as we begin to look for answers in the world within, the world without will reflect. In this new age, we will discover that we are all one mind, one organism, and one spirit. We are the savior we have been waiting for…

History Channel - The End of the World

Since the beginning of recorded time, people have been thinking about the end of the world and making predictions about how and when it might happen. According to a 2007 article in The New York Times: “Gnostics predicted the imminent arrival of God’s kingdom as early as the first century.” The Shakers thought the world would be over in 1792, while the Jehovah’s Witnesses pegged various years between 1914 and 1994 as an end date. More recently, some doomsday forecasters have focused on the year 2012. Citing the conclusion of a lengthy cycle in the ancient Mayan calendar, certain theorists anticipate the end of life as we know it on December 21, 2012. These theorists believe that on December 21, 2012, the Earth will experience unprecedented, cataclysmic disasters ranging from massive earthquakes and tsunamis to nuclear reactor meltdowns. In order to prepare for these events, some proponents of the 2012 prophecy have already begun stocking up on survival supplies.

The planet’s major religions each have their own beliefs about the end of the world, the triumph of good over evil and Judgment Day. In Christianity, the Book of Revelation, the last chapter of the Bible’s New Testament, mentions Armageddon, the final battle on Earth between the forces of God and Satan. The word Armageddon is thought to come from the Hebrew for “mount of Megiddo.” Located in present-day Israel, Megiddo, an ancient, strategically positioned city, was the site of a number of battles. Some Christians interpret the Book of Revelation as a roadmap that lays out exactly how the world will end. They contend that Judgment Day will take place on Armageddon and Jesus will save the true believers, while non-believers left behind will face enormous suffering.

In Islam, the end of the world is referred to as the Hour and involves Jesus returning to Damascus to slay an anti-Christ who has put the planet in peril. With the anti-Christ out of the picture, a period of perfect harmony will ensue. Jesus will later die a natural death, which will usher in a time of destruction that leads directly to the Hour. In Judaism, there is no term for Armageddon, but there are references in the Hebrew bible to events that could be compared with Armageddon, including the Day of the Lord (in which God causes death and destruction to people who deserve to be punished) and the War of Gog and Magog (in which Israel and its god fight their enemies, rather than an anti-Christ).

In Hinduism, there is the story of the god Vishnu coming back in the last cycle of time as a figure called Kulki, who rides a white horse, carries a sword that looks like a comet and destroys the forces of evil. In some Buddhist prophecies, the equivalent of Armageddon is Shambhala, in which good triumphs over evil; however, the planet is restored rather than destroyed so people can pursue enlightenment.

Despite the many theories and religious interpretations, the only thing that’s certain about the end of the world is that no one can know for sure what will happen. And until that day arrives-- if it arrives--people will no doubt continue to speculate endlessly about when it will all be over.
